The Hot Roast Beef Season is winding down for this winter. Babe's Hot Beef goes back on the shelf around March 15, depending on when we run out of gravy. Don't dispair, it will be back in October when the weather starts to cool .

Just as sure as Santa Claus comes around in December, the Ultimate Meatball Sub comes back to the Blue Ox. We use big, fat tasty meatballs, Marinara sauce, provolone and parmesan cheeses, along with lettuce, onions banana peppers and a nice vinaigrette. Only available until the end of the month, so stop in to grab one today.

The Ox's original plan was run the Chicken & Strawberries as a seasonal special, winding it up in October and putting it on the shelf until spring. However, we had enough guest requests to keep it that we decided to add it to the regular menu. So...come on by and have one when it you need a break from winter, or when you need a break from too much holiday food. There may come a time over the winter when strawberries are not available, but we can deal with that as it happens.

Since 2008 we have maintained a presence on a loyalty/coupon web site called Sudden Values. After running the Sudden Values concurrently with our in-house loyalty program (The Blue Ox Good Neighbor Card) for the last 2 years The Ox has concluded that the two programs duplicate certain efforts and end up confusing the customer regarding our offerings. So as of August 1st, 2012 we have discontinued any offerings on the Sudden Values web site and encourage everyone to ask for a Good Neighbor Club Card if you don't already have one. Club members earn a free sandwich after every 7 store visits (purchasing a full sized sandwich or salad), a free 1/2 sandwich or soda after 12 visits, and a free sandwich on their birthday. You get double credit for visits on Sunday!
